Homework Help Programs

Programs that answer specific questions regarding grammar, mathematics or other areas of study or help students with homework assignments. Included are telephone hotlines, online assistance and in-person programs offered by the school following regularly scheduled classes or by community centres, libraries or other similar types of organizations.

 

Services

Drop-in program offering accessible tutoring and mental heath support for neurodiverse teens. 

Provides a space for students to work on school work, with access to learning materials (pens, pencils, paper), computers with internet, and tutor support twice weekly. 

Provides children and youth with mentoring and tutoring for academic success in preparation for a pathway to access post-secondary education.

Serving children from St. Lawrence and Bennetto Elementary Schools, children work on their literacy, numeracy, and social skills with mentors from McMaster University. Programs include school pickup, a healthy snack, and access to a lending library, computers, games, and sports equipment. 

Program designed to help young people who require mentorship overcome challenges related to their school experience, employment, and mental wellness. Support includes:

A supervised space for children to spend time before school, with a hot breakfast provided. Assistance with homework is also available. Program runs on school days, and parents and families are welcome.
