Chinese Community
Individuals who are either citizens of the People’s Republic of China (including the region of Hong Kong) or the Republic of China (commonly known as Taiwan), or who identify themselves as part of the Chinese community. The Chinese language has a common written form but spoken dialects that are often mutually exclusive. The most common dialects are Mandarin which is the official dialect of China and spoken by most people from the mainland of China, and Cantonese which is spoken in southern China and in Hong Kong.
