Neighbourhood Improvement Groups

Organizations whose members are usually residents of a particular community or neighbourhood who work together to remedy deficiencies in existing neighbourhood conditions or to enhance conditions that are currently satisfactory.

 

Services

Central Neighbourhood Association Location. There is no physical location for this service. The geographical boundary is James Street to the east, the Canadian National Railway tracks to the north, Queen Street to the west, and Main Street to the south.

Dedicated to improve the quality of life for people who work, live, and play in the Rolston neighbourhood. Part of the neighbourhood action plan for the city of Hamilton. Open to City of Hamilton residents living in Ward 8. 

Rolston Neighbourhood Planning Team Location. There is no physical location for this service. The geographical boundary is Mohawk Road to the north, West 5th Street to the east, the Linc to the south, and Garth Street to the west.

Location of Glanbrook Community Services, located inside the Glanbrook Municipal Service Centre.

Friends Of The Eramosa Karst (FOTEK) is a local, volunteer, non-profit community voice with a purpose to support the conservation and enjoyment of the Eramosa Karst Conservation Area's geological and ecological systems.

Spring Valley Community Association Location. There is no physical location for this service. The geographical boundary is between Jerseyville Road, Wilson Street, and Shaver Road.

A group of volunteers dedicated to improving the lives of people who live, work, and play in the area known as Ancaster. Open to City of Hamilton residents living in Ward 12, also known as Ancaster. 

Sherman Hub Location. There is no physical location for this service. Includes the neighbourhoods of Stipley, Blakely, Gibson, and St. Clair.

Crown Point Community Planning Team Location. There is no physical location for this service. The geographical boundary is Kenilworth Avenue to the east, Lake Ontario to the north, Gage Avenue to the west, and the escarpment to the south.

North End Neighbourhood Association Location. There is no physical location for this service. The geographical boundary is Wellington Ave N to Bay St N and CN tracks south of Strachan St E to Hamilton Harbour shoreline.

Strathcona Community Council Location. There is no physical location for this service. The geographical boundary is from Highway 403 east to Queen Street, and from Main Street north to the Harbour.

A group of volunteers whose vision is to be an active, resident-based voice that effectively addresses priority issues affecting the neighbourhood to nurture a vibrant community. Open to City of Hamilton residents living in Ward 1.

Stinson Community Association Location. There is no physical location for this service. The geographical boundary is the escarpment to of Main Street East, between Wellington and Wentworth Streets.

Riverdale Community Planning Team Location. There is no physical location for this service. The geographical boundary is Barton Street East, Lake Avenue North, Queenston Road, and Centennial Parkway North.

Keith Community Hub Location. There is no physical location for this service. The geographical boundary is Wellington Street to the west, the CN rail line to the south, Sherman Avenue to the east, and the Harbour to the north.

McQuesten Community Planning Team Location. There is no physical location for this service. The geographical boundary is the Red Hill Valley to the east, Queenston to the south, Parkdale to the west and the railroad tracks between Barton and Burlington Street to the north.

Kirkendall Neighbourhood Association Location. There is no physical location for this service. The geographical boundary extends between Main Street and the escarpment.
