The Urban Aboriginal Healthy Living Program promotes a healthy lifestyle by providing programs that supports improved overall health through increased physical fitness, smoking reduction, and healthy eating education.

Volunteers at Hamilton Health Sciences support patients in many different programs across the hospitals, from children’s to seniors’ care. Placements are offered in both clinical and common areas of the hospital.

Specially trained volunteers offer companionship, respite for caregivers, connection to palliative resources, and/or outings for adults and children. Support is provided through one-on-one visits with residents. 

Program that assists the Urban Indigenous youth at risk in providing access to activities that will ensure choices to healthy lifestyles. Objectives include:

A licensed child care program providing early learning opportunities for children from infant to 4 years. Operates with the YMCA Playing to Learn curriculum. Includes a variety of scheduled and unscheduled activities.

Licensed child care program for children in Junior Kindergarten to 12 years of age. Provides children with various activities right at their own school.
