Non-profit charitable organization working to improve life for older adults in Hamilton.

Areas of focus include:

  • working to implement Hamilton’s Plan for an Age-Friendly City
  • reducing social isolation
  • improving access to programs, services, and financial entitlements for older adults
  • working to eliminate the abuse of older persons
  • presenting workshops to seniors that promote healthy aging

This is a highly structured intensive community based alternative to custody for youth who have come in contact with the law. Youth engage in cognitive programming based on prevention, rehabilitation, and reintegration.

The Forest Program serves youth ages 10 to 18 with a dual diagnosis and is part of the service array available through the Guiding Partnerships and Solutions (GPS) Program.

The Ontario Works program helps people in temporary financial need find sustainable employment and achieve self-reliance through the provision of effective, integrated employment services and financial assistance.

Assistance includes:

Retirement residence offering one bedroom, two bedroom, and studio suites. Short stay and crisis admissions are available when space permits (i.e. temporary, vacation, respite care).

A medical group of five hospitals, a cancer centre, and an urgent care centre offering acute and specialized health services. Each site has specific areas of expertise. An academic environment created by an affiliation with the McMaster University Faculty of Health Sciences offers patients the benefits of innovative treatments.

Kirkendall Neighbourhood Association Location. There is no physical location for this service. The geographical boundary extends between Main Street and the escarpment. North of Aberdeen it covers the area between Queen Street and the 403/Chedoke Expressway; south of Aberdeen it extends from Queen Street to the Chedoke Golf Course.

Protestant Church that offers a weekly worship service on Sunday mornings, both in person and online. Also offers a variety of groups for adults and children. Recordings of past sermons are available online. 

Serves all segments of the community, including those with limited financial means, as part of an international movement to build leadership and provide essential services that promote safe, inclusive, and equitable communities.
