This program helps children, youth, and their caregivers in the following ways:
A prenatal and infancy home visitation program for young, first time parents provided by public health nurses. Program begins during pregnancy and for the first two years of the children’s lives.
Provides free snacks and light meals on weekends to youth, as well as dinner from 4pm-7pm.
Offers immediate support to older adults needing a rapid crisis response due to mental health, poverty, addictions, disabilities, and other vulnerabilities.
Offers free information and materials necessary to practice safer drug use and safer sex. Provides referrals to other sources within the community regarding social services, drug and alcohol treatment centers, social workers, housing and welfare.
Provides information and assistance to support participation in the criminal court process. Services begin once police have laid charges and continue until the case is over.
