Eligibility
Open to recipients of Ontario Works (OW) and Ontario Disability Support Program (ODSP) and Hamilton residents on a low income who are 18 years of age or older.

Submit a request for needed items online at specialsupportsbenefits.hamilton.ca or call 905-546-2590.
Low income applicants who are not OW or ODSP recipients will need to supply the following documents:
- ID for every person in the household
- Last year’s Notice of Assessment from the Canada Revenue Agency, or a CRA Proof of Income Statement, for every adult family member
- A letter of assessment from a healthcare professional
