Ontario Disability Support Program (ODSP) Income Supports

Provides financial assistance and other benefits to eligible people with disabilities who are in financial need. Supports offered include: 

  • money to help with living expenses, including food and rent
  • health benefits, including prescription drugs and vision care
  • employment support to help find and keep a job or for career advancement

Eligibility

Must be an Ontario resident in financial need and meet the program’s definition of a person with a disability, or be a member of a Prescribed Class. Those under 18 can start the application process up to six months before their 18th birthday. Eligibility is assessed by the Disability Adjudication Unit in step two of the application process.
