  • Administers and updates Ontario's Building Code
  • Sets the rules for and oversees Ontario's land use planning
  • Develops rules that protect tenants and encourages maintenance and investment in rental housing
  • Works to measure and address homelessness in Ontario
  • Funds construction and repair of social housing and affordable rental housing
  • Sets the annual rent-increase guideline and other rules related to rental housing
